I'm a recent graduate from Rutgers University. I earned a degree in Cell Biology & Neuroscience with a double minor in Chemistry and Health & Society, with pursuing a Certification in Chemistry Education (CCE). I am a pre-med student who had gone through several of the courses that I offer to teach and can provide first-hand experience and advise on how to best succeed in class.
I was a teaching intern for the Chemistry Department at Rutgers University for nearly three years, a teaching assistant for a chemistry laboratory course, and a chemistry instructor for Rutgers University's ODASIS program. Even before then, I've informally taught throughout high school and college, in Spanish, Math, SATs, and Biology. I feel in love with teaching because its something I found to be very rewarding as an educator. I've had several great teachers as role models in my career that I look up to as model instructors, those that not only make sure their students understand the subject matter, but also have a newfound interest in the subject and are able to make use of the information that they learn.
I have received stellar grades in all my science courses in university. I have experience in teaching chemistry and have learned how to become a more effective instructor through my teaching programs for all STEM courses.
I currently am in a gap year while I apply for medical schools, during which I am working at Columbia University in NYC.
