With over fifteen years in the educational field, my journey began as a tutor for college-level French and Spanish. I've since guided students ranging from three-year-olds to adults, covering subjects such as English, math, science, social studies, and test preparation. My expertise extends to a multitude of exams, including Praxis, SAT, ACT, TOEFL, SSAT, ISEE, GRE, and many more.

Beyond traditional academic tutoring, I've assisted hundreds of students with private school and college admissions essays. My dedication to education has earned my tutoring service a spot among the top five in "Best Tutoring Service" from 2020 to 2023, as recognized by the Free Lace-Star's "Best of the Burg."

My commitment to education goes beyond tutoring. I've presented on topics like pedagogy and learning styles at esteemed conferences, including the 2017 National Curriculum Network Conference and the 2019 American Association of Teachers of French Conference. Additionally, I've been featured in various media outlets, such as Book Smart Prep's Blog, the Cool Cat Teacher podcast, and The Lisa Show.

My passion for literature and writing extends into a variety of creative pursuits. At the 2008 Sigma Tau Delta Convention, I showcased an original poem dedicated to Kurt Vonnegut, "The Fall." I've also authored four children's books addressing themes of mental health and social skills and will be releasing my debut poetry collection in the summer of 2024. Additionally, I am working on my first young adult novel and several more children's books.

I'm eager to bring my diverse experience and passion for education to you and your family. If you believe I'm the right fit for your needs, please feel free to contact me. Thank you!

ISEE

I have prepared several students for the ISEE. I have also used various resources, including ISEE and SSAT prep, as the tests are similarly formatted. Outstanding!!

My daughter is in 6th grade and has ADD she struggles with retaining info and needed someone patient. Megan was a godsend because fir the first time looking at schoolwork my daughter was engaged and excited to find out she was capable of not failing her science project. Megan gave her ideas, and talked her through them. She was very patient and my daughter who is very she felt comfortable immediately. Btw- she wants Megan to tutor her on every subject! Lol Thanks do much! Will definitely hire her again.

Great match for my daughter

Miel enjoys learning with Megan. She expresses how good of a teacher she is. Megan has challenged her with math and Miel loves the challenges. I think she likes when things doesn't come that easily but she is encouraged that she will get there. Megan seems to be a good fit for Miel and her practices.

Ms. Megan took the time to really see what I needed.

Ms. Megan is very pleasant and I see that she cares about the students she is tutoring. I will use her until I pass my SPED exam, as I will try to send students her way.

An Excellent Teacher

Megan is a most patient yet firm teacher with an excellent approach to teaching. Although, she tutors our 2 daughters in English, she performed an initial assessment of our daughters in several subject areas in order to determine our their aptitude. CERTAINLY A KEEPER!!!
