Bio

I’m a licensed architect and the owner of my own architecture studio, where I work across every stage of the design process from early concept sketches to construction-ready drawings and client coordination. In my daily practice I use AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, and Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Working with these tools every day has given me a deep understanding of how they function, which allows me to teach them clearly and confidently.

I’m a licensed architect and the owner of my own architecture studio, where I work across every stage of the design process from early concept sketches to construction-ready drawings and client coordination. In my daily practice I use AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, and Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Working with these tools every day has given me a deep understanding of how they function, which allows me to teach them clearly and confidently.

Running my own practice has taught me how to think efficiently and solve real design challenges, and I bring that practical, hands-on experience directly into my tutoring. I’m a very patient teacher, and I genuinely enjoy breaking down complex ideas in a way that feels approachable and even fun. Teaching is something I truly enjoy, and I love seeing students reach that moment when everything clicks.

My goal isn’t just to help students finish assignments. I focus on helping them understand the fundamentals of each program so they can approach any project with clarity and confidence, no matter the scale or complexity.

Incredibly knowledgable and kind - an amazing teacher!

Petrina has been such an awesome tutor!! I am new to CAD and she has been so great with helping to teach me the basics, and hopefully beyond that! She is kind, patient, and super knowledgable about the software. When I ask questions, she explains things very thoroughly in a way that makes complete sense to me as a beginner.
