Patient and fun tutor
Maxine spent several 3-hours sessions with my 11 yo kids and they really liked it! She has a great pedagogy for kids and uses different formats and exercises so that they stay engaged. Highly recommended!

Maxine has been working with my son, who is in the 4th grade. 4th grade being the challenging step up in the their educating lives. He like others has struggled with the new expectations at that level and Maxine has been providing the extra tuition and lesson breakdown needed. He has enjoyed the tutor sessions and has made good improvements in dealing with his school expectations and homework assignments. I've particularly been very happy with Maxine's flexibility with regard to changing tutoring locations when my schedule has needed it.

Maxine has really worked with us and his teachers to understand the needs of our 6 year old and how he can learn best. Spending a couple hours a week with Maxine has helped our child on the basics of reading and writing. We are still early days (only about 5 lessons so far) but it's been a really promising start.

Excellent tutor for kids
Maxine is an excellent tutor - this summer she is working with our eight-year-old son who is a perfectionist and writes very slowly. We can see that Maxine has a lot of experience working with kids, she makes her lesson an engaging game for our son, who is not always eager to cooperate with teachers. Maxine always comes on time and is very easy to communicate with. We feel very lucky that we have found Maxine and are convinced that her lessons will help our son to be more efficient with his writing next school year. Thank you, Maxine!

I worked with Maxine during last week: she was a very good teacher with a big patience to explain me the rules about the pronunciation and the phonetic ( I'm from Italy and I have a very strong Italian accent) and I practiced with her the third conditional.
