I am a Biomedical Sciences major at the University at Buffalo with a strong academic foundation in mathematics and the sciences. Through my coursework, I have developed a solid understanding of subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Biology, and Chemistry, as well as the problem-solving skills needed for higher-level STEM classes. I enjoy helping students make sense of challenging material and showing them that math and science can be approachable with the right guidance.
In addition to my academic background, I have worked as a teaching assistant in a special education school setting, where I supported middle and high school students in both classroom and one-on-one environments. This experience taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, and flexibility when teaching students with different learning styles and levels of confidence. I often helped reinforce lessons, break down complex topics into smaller steps, and encourage students who felt discouraged or overwhelmed.
As a tutor, I focus on helping students truly understand the material rather than relying on memorization. I adjust my teaching approach based on each student’s learning style, pace, and goals, whether that means reviewing foundational concepts, practicing problem-solving together, or preparing for exams. My goal is to help middle school, high school, and introductory college students build confidence, improve performance, and become more independent learners in math and science.
