I am working with the United Way of Long Island to teach Robotics to middle school students in Westbury and Freeport. I am a member of the Long Island STEM Diversity Roundtable located at SUNY-Farmingdale. My approach as a tutor is to determine the student's strengths/weaknesses and with patience relate the concepts to the problems. We solve assigned problems together so that the concepts and solutions become clear.

Excellent tutor!

Dr. B is an excellent tutor. He not only took the time to explain how to solve the physics problems, but he also slowed things down and displayed how to set up the problems by units and why you do what you do for that particular problem. He definitely helped me feel more confident in my problem solving and even if I didn't know how to solve the problem from the start he showed me how to take the information from the problem and find a formula for it. Awesome!

Great Statics help

Dr. Charles has helped me tremendously with my Physics: Statics class throughout the semester. We've covered 3D free body diagrams, moments, tension and compression, different connections and support types, shear forces and bending moments, as well as a variety of other topics. Thank you Dr. Charles!

Knowledgeable, informative and patient

Charles was able to work me into his schedule and give me an extra session before The AP exam. He is patient and explains concepts thoroughly.

Kim, 20 lessons with Charles

He was great.

Dr. B sat with me for the whole two hours and went over my calculus review sheet with me. He was great. I was really struggling to understand from class alone and now I feel much more prepared for my exam.
