Greetings! I am a graduate of CUNY Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College with a BA/MA in Adolescent Education in Physics. Greetings! I am a graduate of CUNY Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College with a BA/MA in Adolescent Education in Physics. As the title states, I'm a certified high school physics teacher who also teaches chemistry. Many have asked why, and I told them that I love science and working as a mentor to the youth.
I was a tutor in high school for 3 years, helping underclassmen and peers in subjects such as math and science. After high school, I worked in a summer internship as an assistant math teacher in a summer camp for middle schoolers. I've also previously worked as an assistant chess teacher for elementary school children. And so, I've had experience working with the youth as young as 4 years old to as old as seniors in high school.
I am also a certified lifeguard, trained in CPR and First Aid. I've been a competitive swimmer from when I was 10 years old to my senior year of college. I stay involved with the sport as an assistant coach to my college team.
I consider myself an excellent student in math and science ever since my pre-high school days, but even as a college student, I feel I still have more to learn. In and out of the classroom, I'll be growing to become a more effective teacher. Don't be afraid to contact me if interested, and I'll respond as soon as possible. Take care!
