I am a PhD-trained scientist in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in toxicology, pharmacology, and biomedical research. I earned my PhD from St. John’s University and also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science and an Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. My academic background provides a strong foundation in biochemistry, biology, anatomy, physiology, toxicology, and pharmacology.
I have several years of teaching and mentoring experience at the undergraduate level. I served as a Doctoral Teaching Fellow and Teaching Assistant at St. John’s University, where I taught and supported courses such as anatomy and physiology, biomedical laboratory, and other foundational science courses. In this role, I delivered lectures, facilitated laboratory sessions, developed course materials, and provided one-on-one academic support to students through office hours and review sessions. I worked with undergraduate, pharmacy, and nursing students to deliver lectures, facilitate labs, and provide one-on-one academic support. In addition to formal teaching roles, I have extensive experience working with students as a College Laboratory Technician at John Jay College, where I guided students through biology, chemistry, and forensic lab experiments and reinforced key scientific concepts.
My background allows me to effectively tutor high school, undergraduate, and early graduate-level students, particularly in subjects such as biology, biochemistry, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and toxicology. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable concepts. I tailor sessions to each student’s learning style and emphasize understanding over memorization to build confidence and long-term success. I can also offer support with dissertation writing and experimental design. I look forward to helping students succeed academically and gain confidence in subjects that may initially feel challenging.
