I am a PhD-trained scientist in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in toxicology, pharmacology, and biomedical research. I earned my PhD from St. John’s University and also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science and an Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. My academic background provides a strong foundation in biochemistry, biology, anatomy, physiology, toxicology, and pharmacology.
I have several years of teaching and mentoring experience at the undergraduate level. I served as a Doctoral Teaching Fellow and Teaching Assistant at St. John’s University, where I taught and supported courses such as anatomy and physiology, biomedical laboratory, and other foundational science courses. In this role, I delivered lectures, facilitated laboratory sessions, developed course materials, and provided one-on-one academic support to students through office hours and review sessions. I worked with undergraduate, pharmacy, and nursing students to deliver lectures, facilitate labs, and provide one-on-one academic support. In addition to formal teaching roles, I have extensive experience working with students as a College Laboratory Technician at John Jay College, where I guided students through biology, chemistry, and forensic lab experiments and reinforced key scientific concepts.
My background allows me to effectively tutor high school, undergraduate, and early graduate-level students, particularly in subjects such as biology, biochemistry, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and toxicology. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable concepts. I tailor sessions to each student’s learning style and emphasize understanding over memorization to build confidence and long-term success. I can also offer support with dissertation writing and experimental design. I look forward to helping students succeed academically and gain confidence in subjects that may initially feel challenging.

Approved Subjects

Anatomy

Anatomy

I’ve taught Anatomy and Physiology lab and lectures at the university level for 6 years. I have taught pharmacy, nursing, and biomedical sciences students during this period.
Pharmacology

Pharmacology

My PhD training in toxicology provides a strong foundation in pharmacology, particularly in understanding drug mechanisms, metabolism, and dose-response relationships. My research focused on how drugs and xenobiotics interact with biological systems, including pathways involved in inflammation and liver function, which directly overlaps with core pharmacological principles. I have also taught and supported courses in anatomy, physiology, and biomedical sciences, helping students understand how drugs affect different organ systems. This background allows me to clearly explain pharmacological concepts, drug actions, and clinical relevance to students at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Physiology

Physiology

I have taught Anatomy and Physiology lab classes for Pharm.D., Nursing and other students pursuing degrees in Biomedical Sciences.
