I am starting to tutor Chess for the first time and I am so excited to help people understand the game. I love to teach and I believe being competitive in Chess indicates that you have strong skills in attention to detail, problem solving, strategy, planning, and anticipation of moves.
I have played Chess for 36 years and I have taught many friends and family the basics of chess without ever thinking of getting paid for it. I learned the basics from a close relative and started learning strategy from two highly skilled players who I rarely ever beat. This was a difficult way to learn as a true 'trial by fire'. I believe learning without pressure or stress is much more effective.
Learn the basics of movement, relative values of the different pieces, strategy, predicting your opponent's moves, planning many moves ahead, and endgame strategy. Tutoring sessions will be very low pressure, no stress, informative, and fun! Setting up a tutoring session is easy, I am self-employed and have an extremely flexible schedule, allowing me to accommodate my student's schedule. Thank you for your consideration.
