Math has been a passion of mine since I was a kid! In high school, I asked to be bumped a year ahead in math. I’m glad I did, because it exposed me to difficult concepts and forced me to work hard. At Queens College, CUNY, I chose to pursue a bachelor’s degree in math, then I followed up with a master’s degree in math.

While in college in 2018, I began my tutoring career. Since then, I have worked on all subjects from elementary school math to pre-calculus with many students. Many of my students requested I work with them weekly, and some I have worked with for years. Working one-on-one, I would help my students understand concepts through teaching them in a basic manner. I feel that math shouldn’t be made over-complicated. If you can relay the message by drawing a diagram or explaining why a formula makes sense logically, students will not only understand it easier but may actually come to like it! I don’t teach memorization; I teach how to think. My sessions are a judgement-free zone where improving knowledge and shedding fear are my main objectives. No one should have to struggle in their education. Algebra 1 & 2 and geometry are subjects that most students have asked help for, and I have provided much guidance in these areas. I am open to helping you in any area of math from elementary to high school. If my description sounds right for you, book your first call and let's get to work!

ACT Math

ACT Math

The ACT is one of the most important exams of your high school career! The math subjects covered are what you are expected to know through middle to high school. I have tutored students in all of these topics so I can help you grasp these concepts and understand them very well!
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

Algebra 1 has been one of the most popular topics that I've tutored students in. It has become very simple for me to explain to students who are struggling with it. I find it to be a very enjoyable topic to do problems on and work on with students!
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 is one of the top subjects I have worked with my students on. It is one of my favorite subjects to teach as it is more in depth than Algebra 1 and has some interesting topics. I have helped many students with it and I can help you too!
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

It is essential to understand elementary math concepts before moving onto middle and high school math. I have worked with young students on basic math operations, decimals and fractions, and shapes. I can help your child understand these topics in a patient and friendly way!
GED

GED

Taking the GED is a route that some students take instead of graduating high school. It is essential to be well-rounded in high school topics in order to pass the test. I have a strong background in mathematics and can help you ace the math portion of it.
Geometry

Geometry

Geometry is one of the top subjects that students ask for help in. I have worked with many students on the subject and helped them understand properties of shapes, proofs and problem solving techniques. It becomes much easier to understand with help from an experienced tutor!
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

It is very important for students to grasp Prealgebra well before moving onto Algebra. It is essential because students at this level are introduced to mathematical concepts that they will rely on for the next few years. I can help them understand variables and how manipulate equations in a very simple and patient manner.
Precalculus

Precalculus

Precalculus is a very important subject to learn before moving on to calculus. I have helped students better understand functions, polynomials, complex numbers and other topics that fall under precalculus. Precalculus has become a very fun and interesting topic for me to help students with!
Probability

Probability

Probability is a very interesting topic in math and can help you understand real world problems. It may start out as difficult learning set theory and counting problems of combinatorics and calculating probabilities of large data sets but with my help it will become much more straightforward. I have worked with many students on Probability and it is always very enjoyable watching them finally get it!
Real Analysis

Real Analysis

I have taken two courses in Real Analysis, one in an undergraduate and one in a graduate program. I have scored very well in both classes. I have also taken two courses in Topology, one in an undergraduate program and one in a graduate program. Topology is highly related to Real Analysis and uses findings of Real Analysis to generalize into more abstract sets. Real Analysis is also highly related to calculus, which I have taken three courses on.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I have worked with many students on SAT prep. My students have seen an improvement in overall understanding of SAT math questions. I can help you prepare for one of the most important exams you will take in high school!
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

Trigonometry is a fascinating math topic with many real world applications. I have worked with many students on this topic and helped them understand how to think about the problems and solve them. If you are struggling in trigonometry, let's work together and you will see how enjoyable it can be!
