I'm a certified NYC public school teacher with two master's degrees, one in TESOL and one in Bilingual Education, and experience teaching learners ages 4 to 60 across three countries. Here's how I teach: we start by figuring out exactly where you are and where you want to be. Together, we set clear goals, then I bring the targeted practice you need to close the gaps. I don't just drill content. I build your confidence so you can own the material and push past what you thought you could do.
I specialize in working with English Language Learners and multilingual families, but my students have ranged from kids learning to read to adults preparing for their GED. I speak Portuguese natively and Mandarin at an advanced level, so I understand firsthand what it's like to learn in a second language.
Whether your child needs help catching up, staying on grade level, or getting ahead — or you're an adult learner working toward your own goals — I'll meet you where you are and help you get where you want to go.
