I hold an MFA in Integrated Media Arts from Hunter College and a BA in film studies and creative writing from The New School, where I was a scholarship recipient for the Riggio Honors Writing and Democracy Program. My multidisciplinary practice integrates documentary/narrative filmmaking, creative nonfiction, experimental media, and creative writing. My work explores memory, identity, and visual culture through both narrative and experimental forms.

As a filmmaker, I’ve directed award-winning projects such as The Mirrored Road, which received honors at DOC LA. My short films have screened nationally and internationally.

In addition to my creative work, I bring a rich academic and pedagogical background to tutoring. I’m an adjunct professor in Montclair State University’s Honors EDGE program, have delivered guest lectures at NYU’s Art Education MA program, and served as a research assistant at Hunter/CUNY. My approach to teaching is rigorous and inclusive: I blend hands-on workshops with scholarly research, inviting students to engage critically with historical and cultural contexts. I have a strong foundation in both the theory and practice of media, and I tailor my instruction to students’ individual learning styles and academic goals.

I bring versatility, depth, and empathy to every educational setting. My background as a contributing writer for The Brooklyn Rail underscores my commitment to clear, compelling communication; a skill I help students develop across writing, research, and media production. Whether supporting students in film studies, creative writing, research projects and papers, or interdisciplinary research, I nurture confidence and creativity through a collaborative and holistic tutoring approach.
