I discovered the joy of explaining math while earning my B.S. in Computer Science (minor in Cybersecurity) at NYU Tandon. Rigorous courses in calculus, discrete mathematics, probability and statistics, algorithms, and linear algebra sharpened my quantitative skills, but it was peer study groups that revealed how energized I feel when a concept finally “clicks” for someone else. That spark carried over to my summer work as a New York Edge day-camp counselor guiding third-graders through STEM games. From eight-year-olds experimenting with fractions to college freshmen wrestling with network-flow equations, I’ve learned to adjust tone, pace, and examples so each learner feels both supported and challenged.

My tutoring style is conversational and confidence-oriented: I start by asking students to explain what they know in their own words, listen for hidden misunderstandings, and then build a bridge from that foundation to the new idea. Visual sketches, everyday analogies, and plenty of “why does that step work?” questions keep sessions active, while short, targeted practice problems reinforce mastery between meetings. Whether we’re tackling algebra fundamentals, mastering geometry proofs, or venturing into precalculus and trigonometry, my goal is to turn math from a source of anxiety into a toolkit students trust.
