Hello! I am a junior in college pursuing a degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. My academic background has given me a solid foundation in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and clear communication skills that are essential not only in math but also for effective teaching. I’ve always had a passion for math, and I would like to utilize my knowledge to help struggling students gain confidence and succeed in their academic goals.

My tutoring journey began in high school, where I worked one-on-one with fellow students to support them in math courses. I focused primarily on algebra, trigonometry, and SAT Math preparation. During this time, I discovered that creating a supportive, low-pressure environment helped students feel more confident in asking questions and fully engaging with the material. I always tailored my approach to each student’s learning style—whether it meant breaking down problems step by step or using visual examples to explain abstract ideas.

My main strategy as a tutor is to first understand the student's strengths and weaknesses and from there, I would work primarily on the weaknesses and ensure that they fully understand the concept through rigourous practice problems.

In college, I’ve deepened my mathematical knowledge and earned A’s in Calculus I, II, and III—courses that heavily rely on algebraic and trigonometric concepts. These achievements reflect both my mastery of foundational math and my ability to apply those skills to more advanced topics. I’ve also continued tutoring students specifically for the SAT Math section, and I confidently guarantee a score of 750+ for dedicated students who follow my guidance. My goal is to help each student not only improve their performance but also build lasting confidence in their math abilities. With a strong academic background and a student-centered, relatable approach, I’m committed to helping every learner overcome challenges with patience, clarity, and encouragement.

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have a strong mastery of Algebra I, developed through years of study and application in higher-level math courses. My understanding of its core concepts allows me to quickly identify efficient problem-solving strategies and simplify complex problems. I excel at breaking down challenging topics into clear, step-by-step explanations that make learning easier and more effective.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

As an Applied Math and Stats major, I have gained mastery over Algebra 2 as I have great experience with higher-level mathematics, such as Calculus I, II, II, III, which use core algebra 2 concepts in their calculations. My deep understanding of it has allowed me to come up with many different problem-solving strategies which would help struggling students gain confidence over these key concepts.
SAT Math

SAT Math

The SAT Math section tests students less on math but rather on their problem-solving and logical mindset, as more than half of the questions on the exam require quick mechanical thinking and not mathematical thinking to solve, since it is a timed test. My main strategy would be to help struggling students see the exam in this manner, which would help increase efficiency and gain confidence over the exam.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

I have a strong background in trigonometry, reinforced by completing Calculus I, II, and III in college, all of which rely heavily on trigonometric concepts. My deep understanding of the subject allows me to use a variety of strategies to explain challenging topics and make them easier for students to grasp.
