I am a licensed high school teacher with over eight years of experience teaching U.S. History, Government, and Law courses in New York City. I currently serve as the Director of the Law and Forensics Academy at Richmond Hill High School, a Title I public school. My background includes creating engaging lessons for diverse learners, including English Language Learners and students with IEPs, while helping students steadily improve their Regents exam scores over the years. I hold a bachelor’s degree in History and a master’s degree in Education, and I am certified to teach Social Studies in grades 7–12.
Beyond the classroom, I have coached students for competitive debate, mock trial, and public speaking events. I’ve also worked with students one-on-one for Regents prep, essay writing, and general academic support. I take a student-centered approach that focuses on breaking complex ideas into digestible parts, checking for understanding, and building student confidence through clear goals and encouragement. Whether I'm helping a student draft a DBQ essay or prepare for a major exam, my goal is always to help them feel empowered and capable.
