I'm a professional linguist with experience teaching at all levels. In my own research I travel to Papua New Guinea and Indonesia to document and analyze the grammars of unknown indigenous languages. In addition to language documentation and descriptive linguistics, I have experience with phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, typology, and historical linguistics. In addition to language documentation and descriptive linguistics, I have experience with phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, typology, and historical linguistics. I enjoy helping students improve their critical thinking and problem solving skills. I can also help with written assignments.

I have studied both Ancient Greek and Classical Latin. I have experience teaching Ancient Greek literature (in English translation) on the Greek island of Paros. I have also completed some graduate coursework in Classics and have conducted and published research on Greek mythology and linguistics as part of the US Fulbright Program.

I'm a professional linguist, so it's my job to understand complex grammar! More importantly, though, I can help make the German language much easier to grasp. I'm not a native speaker, but I'm conversant in the language. I've lived in Münster (as a Fulbright researcher) and in Leipzig (as a linguistic researcher). I'm happy to help beginner and intermediate students with all aspects of the German language: grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, writing, and so on. I also enjoy doing more casual conversation sessions.

I am a professional linguist who has spent a total of over a year living in Indonesia. Most recently (2019 to 2020), I was a visiting Fulbright Scholar at the University of Gorontalo in Sulawesi. I have also completed an advanced level Indonesian language course at the Alam Bahasa language school in Yogyakarta, Java.

My background is in descriptive linguistics. I'm trained in phonology, morphology, syntax, typology, and historical linguistics. I've been awarded two Fulbright research scholarships, one for historical Indo-European linguistics and the other for documenting an endangered language.
