Hi! I am a current student at Princeton University studying chemistry with a concentration in global health and health policy. I have also been accepted to MIT, Brown PLME, and Columbia University. In my four years at Stuyvesant High School (graduated in 2025), I have gained 100+ hours of tutoring experience, especially in math and chemistry, teaching students from ages 11-17. When I tutor, I approach every tutee like a friend (we are all people, after all!), encouraging an environment in which inquisitiveness and silly mistakes are welcome. This teaching strategy has helped me foster friendships within Stuyvesant Science Olympiad to qualify for the Nationals Tournament in 2025, at which I coached my team to 3rd Place in Chemistry Lab.
In the past, I tutored Algebra 1 and various types of Chemistry, including Chemistry Lab, Forensic Science, and Materials Science. When leading my high school's American Chemistry Society club and Chemistry Science Olympiad, I used slideshow presentations that each had a theme to keep my students engaged, distributed fun and collaborative worksheets for home practice, and facilitated light-hearted competition with fun team-based games, adapted to each individual student by receiving feedback through weekly feedback forms. Even in my college research spaces, I maintain this energetic approach to learning.
I have an eye for design, a strategy I adapted when publishing my chemistry textbook, "The Chemistry Project," a study guide for chemistry. I mainly tutored in a classroom setting and virtually, but I have tutored students in a chemistry lab-based setting, in which I not only taught the theory, but also real-life applications. I treat each subject like an opportunity to learn more about the world around us. I hope to bring the same energy to my students, prioritizing a love for learning and positive growth. Therefore, I am open to suggestions students or parents can provide. Feel free to contact me with any questions!
