I'm a summa cum laude graduate with an interdisciplinary degree in Global Music through the CUNY Graduate Center. My academic background integrates literature, music, and linguistics, giving me a strong foundation in reading, writing, and language development.
I have two years of experience living and tutoring in Korea, working with K–12 students and adults in both one-on-one and small group settings. In addition, I have tutored college students at LaGuardia Community College and supported elementary school students in Brooklyn in ELA and literacy development. These experiences have allowed me to work across a range of both children and adult learners of varying proficiency levels, and cultural backgrounds.
As both a tutor, a music student and a foreign language learner myself, I understand the challenges students face when building confidence in reading, writing, and communication. Utilizing phonics, structured paragraph development and practical application I focus on clarity, encouragement, and individualized goal-setting to meet each student where they are. My lessons are structured yet adaptable, designed to build both skill and confidence at a pace that supports long-term growth.
