My 12 + years of experience as a TESOL instructor (teaching English as a second language) has afforded to me the knowledge, curriculum, implementation and care in providing my students the ability to improve their academic achievements. I do this by listening, engaging, and guiding my students so they can become confident and more capable in showing what they know through challenges with material, in writing, and with comprehension.
Most of all my students have maintained a higher academic success rate due to the work that we do one on one and because they themselves learn how to study, prepare for exams, write more fluently, increase their vocabulary, and ultimately, can show what they know in any subject because I give them the tools and practice to do so. Not only are the students ready for future challenges, but they have a stronger foundation from which to acquire their own personal success throughout their educational journey. I am always pleased with their results and so are they.
I am familiar with the GO Math book series and the enVision 2.0 series for math which is based on the Common Core standards for math with Grades K-6. I have privately tutored students for the GRE and GED exams with great success as I have enough experience to support and guide students and how to answer questions in these examination forms. My "tips" are invaluable and most of my former students have performed successfully with passing results.
I am an open person and know how important communication is when learning. Therefore, it is my common practice to encourage my students to continue learning with me because it is not only about the academic work, but it is also about them finding their own methods to learn and discussing any challenge they have. In that teachable moment it is then easier to show them how to do their work with confidence and support. Scheduling future lessons then would be prompted by them as th
