I am currently retired but possess 30 years of experience as a classroom teacher, Special Education and Social Studies with both middle and high school experience. In that time I provided tutoring in social studies, elementary through high school, ELA, Algebra, PreAlgebra, middle school and elementary math. I am currently retired but possess 30 years of experience as a classroom teacher, Special Education and Social Studies with both middle and high school experience. In that time I provided tutoring in social studies, elementary through high school, ELA, Algebra, PreAlgebra, middle school and elementary math. I also taught graduate level college courses at Mercy College and the University of Phoenix.
During 24 of those 30 years, I taught in the extended school year program with special needs students to help prevent regression. This experience improved my patience and understanding of the various needs of individual students.
I coached various sports in both the high school and recreational level. I enjoyed the recreational level more since it kept me more involved with my children and their friends.
Now, I enjoy hiking and exploring areas across this beautiful country. When I'm not exploring I'll enjoy the outdoors as much as I can.
