I am a dedicated educator with over five years of full-time classroom teaching experience and more than ten years of tutoring experience working with students across a wide range of ages and ability levels. I hold a degree a master degree in Childhood Education and Special Education, and I currently teach in a self-contained special education classroom. My professional background has given me extensive experience supporting students with learning disabilities, attention challenges, and diverse academic needs while ensuring instruction is aligned to standards and individualized goals.
Throughout my teaching and tutoring career, I have worked with students from early childhood through upper elementary and middle school in both one-on-one and small-group settings. I specialize in reading, writing, foundational math skills, and academic intervention. My approach is structured, patient, and data-driven. I focus on identifying specific skill gaps, breaking concepts down into manageable steps, and using evidence-based strategies such as explicit instruction, scaffolding, and repetition to build confidence and mastery. I believe students learn best when they feel supported, understood, and capable.
As a tutor, I tailor each session to the individual child, meeting students where they are while maintaining high expectations for growth. I collaborate closely with families, explain progress clearly, and provide strategies that can be reinforced at home. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them develop independence, confidence, and a positive mindset toward learning. I am passionate about helping students succeed and take pride in creating a calm, encouraging environment where meaningful progress can happen.
