Hi! My name is Samantha and I am a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist located in upstate New York. I've worked with children ages birth to 14 for the past decade with a variety of speech & language needs including vocabulary expansion, reading comprehension, grammar, following directions, articulation delays, and so much more! I am also a mother to two incredible boys. My older son is Deaf and has taught me so much about the world through his experiences and I have made it part of my mission to help others who are deaf or hard-of-hearing have access to the same education and experiences as everyone else.
I truly believe each and every child is unique deserves the opportunity to learn in their preferred modality, whether it's visual, auditory, tactile, etc. I welcome any and all questions and believe in a collaborative approach with the parents (and teachers when appropriate) to help a child maximize their success. I look forward to working with you and your child!
I spent the past four years working in an elementary school with students from grades kindergarten to 6th grade. I am a Speech Language Pathologist with a teaching certificate. Many of the students that I have worked with have had goals on their IEPs addressing reading, writing, comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary goals.
I am a Speech Language Pathologist with a TSSLD degree (teacher of students with speech and language disabilities) that has 10 years of professional experience.
I am not only a Speech Language Pathologist but also a mother of a Deaf teenager. I have taken numerous trainings to better understand how deaf and hard-of-hearing students learn best and what difficulties they tend to have in regards to language development and communication.
I try to respond as quickly as possible so please don't hesitate to contact me at anytime! :)
