Hello! I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a double major in applied math and biology. My GPA was 3.5 and I worked in a biophysics lab on campus. During my first year of college at Swarthmore College, I played soccer for the women's varsity team. I love animals and grew up in Ardsley with two dogs, which is also where I attended high school.
I love sharing knowledge. In high school, I was a camp counselor for one summer. I am very excited about tutoring because I enjoy explaining concepts. I am great at rewording problems and explanations to help the student gain an understanding. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
