With a strong foundation in both education and psychology, I bring over 20 years of experience supporting students with diverse learning needs. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Oneonta and a master’s degree in Learning Disabilities from Syracuse University. After working as a special education teacher for six years, I returned to school to pursue a second master’s degree in School Psychology, graduating in 2008.
Since then, I have worked as a school psychologist, primarily at the elementary level, with additional experience at both the middle and high school levels. During summers, I have continued to teach special education, maintaining my connection to the classroom. My dual roles have allowed me to develop a unique understanding of both academic and emotional needs, and I’m passionate about helping students build confidence, executive functioning skills, and academic growth.
I have extensive experience working with students one-on-one, in small groups, and within classroom settings. My approach is individualized, strengths-based, and rooted in evidence-based practices. I specialize in working with students who have learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and emotional challenges. Whether it’s reading intervention, executive functioning coaching, or social-emotional skill-building, I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each child’s unique needs.
