Hi! My name is Winnie C., and I'm a biology student at Stony Brook University. I've always enjoyed helping others learn, and tutoring has been something I've done throughout my life. I have a 3.9 GPA, scored a 1530 on the SAT, and have a strong background in chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, and math. Because I've taken these classes myself, I understand which topics students tend to struggle with and how to explain them in a way that makes sense.

I've worked as both a chemistry and organic chemistry tutor, helping students one-on-one with homework, test preparation, and difficult concepts. I also served as a Biology Teaching Assistant, where I answered students' questions, helped them understand course material, and supported them during class activities. Through these experiences, I've learned that every student learns differently, so I like to adjust my teaching style based on what works best for them.
One of my favorite parts of tutoring is seeing students become more confident over time. I know how frustrating it can feel when a subject doesn't click right away, so I try to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. My goal is not just to help students get better grades, but to help them truly understand the material and feel more confident in themselves.
