I'm a passionate educator with over a decade of full-time tutoring experience working with middle and high school students from across the country, university students across the world, and young professionals. I believe that my job is to help you or your child unlock the best learner within to succeed in better understanding, planning, and carrying out the required assignment.

My experience as an undergraduate and graduate student has taught me that the most important thing for an educator is to make the material as engaging and comprehensible as possible, and to leave room for meaningful questions.

I believe in making the learning process as engaging as possible. I specialize in creating individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' goals and needs. My approach is a structured one that is goal-oriented and can be adjusted according to feedback.

I have developed expertise in tutoring dozens of students in four main areas:

1) The College Applications process (including ACT and SAT prep, AP exam prep, essay composition, and interview coaching)

2) College humanities coursework (especially History, English, Literature, Spanish, Political Science, Philosophy, Psychology, International Relations, etc.)

3) English language acquisition and fluency, as well as related job skills development and professional interview coaching.

4) Graduate School applications as well as professional specialist applications such as Law School or Medical School

As a BA/MA degree holder in History, experienced public speaker, and public speaking coach, I have over a decade of experience in working with ESOL and TESOL students to reduce their accent. I have worked with dozens of clients who were seeking to reduce their accent or learn to correctly pronounce either British Standard English ("Received Pronunciation") or American Standard English. I have honed my language skills over a lifetime of public speaking at academic and intercultural symposia, seminars, and forums.

As a BA/MA holder pursuing my PhD in Classical intellectual history and history of philosophy, I have over a decade of experience in teaching Classics to several dozen high school and undergraduate students, inspiring in them a love for the foundational texts and sources for Western literature, history, politics, and ethics. My past students include both those from traditional Western (Western European and North American) countries, as well as those from non-Western backgrounds, such as West Asia (MENA), South Asia and East Asia. I took four years of Latin in high school, and studied Attic and Koine Greek with a private tutor for three years. In high school, Greek and Roman history, philosophy, the arts, and architecture were my favorite subjects. In the relevant AP courses, I attained a 5/5 score on my AP World History exam and did A level coursework. I was an AP Scholar of Distinction throughout my high school years. Since that time, first as a college undergraduate and now as a graduate student, I have taught dozens of students AP World History, with outstanding results. As a BA/MA holder pursuing my PhD in History, I have over a decade of experience in helping students and parents navigate the undergraduate and graduate applications and admissions processes to find the best possible college for their goals, ambitions, and dreams. I have worked with both exceptional, high-achieving students as well as struggling but determined students to help them craft and write the best possible personal statements and essays, assess which schools were the optimal fit for them, and help them navigate the applications process from school scouting to narrowing down target and reach schools, to soliciting recommendation letters and tailoring their resumes and CVs to reflect the admissions standards of each school. In terms of my own high school grades, I was an AP Scholar of Distinction, National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society member, president of my school's History Club, editor of the school paper, and obtained a non-weighted 3.99 GPA in my senior year of high school. I attained 5/5 scores on all my AP exams, including Comparative World Government and Politics, World History, English Literature, Spanish Literature, Environmental Science, and others. I was accepted into my undergraduate program with a full academic year of AP exam credits, entering as a sophomore (second year) student in terms of my college credits.
