Hi, I’m Frank! I have a strong background in mathematics, Excel, and Python, developed through my B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Stony Brook University and my professional experience at Citigroup and UBS. While my academic and professional training is rigorous, my tutoring approach is patient, supportive, and focused on helping students feel confident and comfortable with the material.
I first started tutoring when I was in middle school, helping classmates understand challenging topics, and I’ve loved sharing knowledge ever since. Throughout my academic and professional career, I’ve continued tutoring both one-on-one and in group settings, working with students of different ages, levels, and learning styles.
I work with students from around age 10 through college and adults in their working careers. I tailor each lesson to maximize engagement, because students learn best when they are interested, supported, and actively involved. I break concepts down into clear, manageable steps and adjust my pace and teaching style to match each student’s needs.
For younger students, I focus on building strong fundamentals, improving problem-solving skills, and developing confidence. For older students and adults, I connect concepts to real-world applications. In my professional roles, I used Excel for data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, and automation, as well as Python for data analysis and scripting. I enjoy helping students see how what they’re learning can be useful beyond the classroom.
My goal as a tutor is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand why it works and feel confident tackling new challenges on their own. I strive to create a positive learning environment where students of all ages can grow, ask questions, and succeed. I always welcome any resources or suggestions that students and parents can provide. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson.
