Physician Assistant Student: Interview Prep and Science Tutor

Hello! My name is Jenna, I am currently a Physician Assistant student with a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Neuroscience from Binghamton University, where I completed extensive coursework in biology, chemistry, psychology, anatomy and physiology, neuroscience, and other health sciences.

I have experience teaching and tutoring students across a wide range of ages and educational levels, from elementary school through college. In college, I served as a Teaching Assistant for General Psychology, Social Psychology, and Anatomy & Physiology I, where I reinforced course material, answered questions, and provided individualized academic support during weekly office hours. I have also worked one-on-one with students on assignments by volunteering at my local library with local elementary and middle school students. Additionally, through my leadership in Binghamton's Pre-Physician Assistant Society, I helped educate and mentor undergraduate students on the PA profession and application process, providing one-on-one essay guidance and editing.

My tutoring approach is individualized to each student’s needs and focuses on breaking down difficult concepts into clear, manageable steps, identifying gaps in understanding, and using active learning and practice to strengthen comprehension. My background in both education and healthcare allows me to help students develop not only a stronger understanding of challenging material, but also effective study, problem-solving, and academic skills they can apply independently.
