I recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where I majored in Health and Societies with a concentration in Bioethics and Society and minored in Chemistry. My coursework included advanced biology, general and organic chemistry, physics, biochemistry, and upper-level humanities seminars that strengthened my writing and critical analysis skills. As a pre-medical student currently preparing for the MCAT, I continue to review and reinforce foundational concepts in biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, and critical reading on a daily basis. My academic training has given me a strong command of both the scientific material and the study strategies required to master it.
Through peer mentorship and informal tutoring of classmates in subjects such as biology and chemistry, I developed an approach that focuses on building conceptual understanding rather than memorization. I prioritize helping students understand the “why” behind processes, whether we are working through reaction mechanisms, genetics problems, or physics equations.
I have experience tutoring elementary, high school and college-aged students in one-on-one settings, tailoring sessions to each student’s learning style and goals. I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades or test scores, but also to help them develop the analytical skills and confidence needed for long-term academic success.
