Hello - very passionate and licensed math educator here! I have 10 years of professional teaching experience and possess high enthusiasm and devotion to help students improve their math skills and increase their confidence with math concepts.

My main areas of tutoring and expertise are Algebra 1, Algebra 2/Trig and Calculus AB (Calculus 1).
I do NOT tutor in other math subjects, and do not tutor in PSAT or SAT math.

I reside in Queens and prefer to tutor in the Queens area, though...

I reside in Queens and prefer to tutor in the Queens area, though Long Island is possible. As I have a strong level of math knowledge as a math teacher and because time is valuable, my tutoring rate is $60/hour. This is a strict rate.

I graduated from an intensive teacher certification program at Hunter College with a master's degree in mathematics education, and have used various strategies in an effort to help students excel in math. I am extremely dedicated as a math teacher and will certainly do my best to aid your child in being successful in math, as long as he or she puts in the required effort, practice and time to succeed.

We will surely succeed by working together, with patience and a high level of determination.

After receiving over 30 hours of extensive professional training, I received a teaching certificate in AP Calculus AB (Calculus I) from College Board. I have taught Calculus AB for three years, and have helped students earn college credit and excel in this subject, including passing the challenging AP Calculus AB exam.

Great Tutor

Paul has tutoring my son in trigonometry for the past six months and has done an excellent job. My son was failing this subject and is now not only passing, but doing pretty well. Paul is extremely conscientious and takes his job very seriously. He is patient while at the same time holds my son accountable for doing his share of the work. I am very impressed with his commitment to his students and would recommend Paul highly.

Amazing and outstanding tutor

Paul has been tutoring my son now for over 7 months and I have seen dramatic improvement in his grades and his approach to math. My son is a senior in High School and needed help severely with this subject and Paul has bought him from a D student to a B student and will continue to do so until my son is an A student. Even his teacher has sent home a note on the drastic improvement they've seen in my son. Sometimes with my son's extra-curricular activities and my obligations our scheduled time slot with Paul can be hard but no matter what; whenever we call to shift times and days around he's always ready and able to accommodate an impromptu schedule. He shows up always prepared with a lesson plan. What I am most impressed with is that he keeps in touch with my son weekly on homework issues and also keeps me informed of my sobs weekly progress. I will recommended Paul C. at anytime to anyone because of his outstanding teaching and ethical skills.
