Hi! My name is Julia. I graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Economics and minors in Business Analytics and Political Science.

I live by the learning mantra of see it, do it, teach it. In my tutoring experience, I have put this mantra to practice in demonstrating a topic or skill, practicing it with the student, and then asking them to walk me through what we have learned and accomplished in their own words. The best measure of learning something is being able to teach it yourself which I want to ensure that my students are able to do.

I have about 5 years of experience volunteering at middle and high schools after school with groups of students as well as outside of school in one-on-one settings across levels of math spanning from 5th grade-12th grade. In addition to tutoring, I have experience in roles that have enhanced my communication and teaching skills. In college, I served as a Crew Chief at the pool, where I trained lifeguards in life-saving skills and procedures. In my current full time role as a product implementation analyst, I regularly train clients on how to navigate a new financial software system. These experiences strengthened my ability to break down complex information into clear steps for learners of diverse backgrounds.

Across these experiences, a consistent theme has been my dedication to making learning approachable and encouraging. I am passionate about helping learners overcome challenges, build confidence in their abilities, and achieve their full potential.
