Skilled Microbiologist and College Professor for ASCP tutoring

My name is Michelle and I am a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (MLT ASCP) that specializes in Microbiology and Immunohematology. I graduated in 2018 with my bachelors in Clinical Laboratory Science and have worked in a hospital based microbiology laboratory ever since. From 2015 to 2018 I tutored general chemistry and general biology as a peer tutor, and even continued after graduation. In 2023, I graduated with my masters from Grand Canyon University in Biology with an emphasis in Education. I started teaching Immunohematology in a local college in 2023 and then microbiology in another university in 2024. I have continued tutoring since earning my masters as well, specializing in Medical Technology and Clinical Laboratory Science, and ASCP test prep.
My tutoring methods are based in my teaching methods, including one on one explanations, worksheets, and hands on approaches. Questions, discussions, concept mapping, flow charts, and making the subjects I teach and tutor connect to real life. I also am big on teaching note taking methods, outline, and study tips!
