Emerson College (Creative Writing)
I've been writing short stories and other writings since I was a teenager, always with the intention of compiling these writings into a autobiography account of growing up in Central New York in the 1970's and 1980's. Just recently, I have had a couple of my stories published in an online literary magazine, and Penguin Publishing is currently looking at a group of my stories as well.
After graduating Cum Laude from Boston's prestigious Emerson College with a BA in Creative Writing and Literature, I sold a script to NBC's Seinfeld, before earning my Massachusetts teacher's certifications as a Secondary English teacher, and later as a television production teacher. where I fostered an Emmy Award winning program of studies for a large high school, and where I wrote and copyrighted my own text book for high school television production courses. While working at the high school, I taught script writing, public speaking and literature, taught students the art of copyediting for broadcast and publication, and assisted students with their college admissions letters. On the side, I ran my small business where I researched and wrote academic and economic reports for clients. Now, with the company AAA Digital Productions, I have produced sports videos for a professional football team, written production scripts and continue to work video projects, while working with a couple of local colleges as an adjunct professor.
I've enjoyed working with students for over two decades, and I especially like to help people find their "inner writer", while practicing proper grammar, tone, and structure. I have the degrees, certificates, and licenses, but more importantly, I have the experience of having written fiction and non-fiction both academically and professionally. I have been called an "excellent extemporaneous speaker", I am quite adept at public speaking and speech writing, and I can help you become a better, more complete writer, and a more commanding speaker.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
