In addition, I am a seasoned secondary and tertiary teacher in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Earth Science, Aviation, Geography/Social Studies/History and acculturation (US, UK, Japan, Germany, Austria, Italy). I have over twenty years experience, and have taught all ages and levels, having been employed in public schools, private schools, where I taught History, Biology, Earth Science, and Anatomy and Physiology, at The College of William and Mary's lower division, where I taught ESL, Stony Brook University (German 301/302), Oxford University (ESL), and in corporate settings. I believe in facilitating the student, not teaching at her. The student retains that knowledge which he "owns", i.e., when he discovers it on his own. In foreign language/ESL I employ the total immersion approach, where the student becomes fluent and facile with the language in the shortest amount of time. My greatest reward is in transferring my enthusiasm for the material to my students. Learning is a collaborative effort and a great adventure!

First session success!

Jacqui was able to review ground work material, connect with my son and make him feel more confident. She discovered that he needs more test taking strategies as he does well with homework and class work. We are looking forward to more sessions.
