There are few subjects that I am not versed in, though my specialties are American History, introduction to research methods, and philosophy. I specialize in teaching through inquiry, and do everything possible to engage students in the ways that best suit them. There are few subjects that I am not versed in, though my specialties are American History, introduction to research methods, and philosophy. Additionally I have taught math, logic, world history, current events, as well as being an advisor for students dealing with the MYP personal project.

I have a disposition and excitement about learning that I have found to be almost contagious. I have yet to meet a subject that I do not enjoy, which has resulted in an incredibly large knowledge base. I am also extremely passionate about finding ways to help students be self motivated, and enjoy seeing students grow in their confidence. Lastly, I want to help better the lives of the not only the students I would be tutoring, but I want to help inspire them to better the communities that they will be joining. I believe that I have a unique talent for inspiring students, and I enjoy using it to better those students lives.

Having taught Individuals and Societies for the past 3 years at The Kildonan School, I have developed a broad understanding of the history in general. Additionally, having taught at a school for dyslexics, I am extremely adept at translating a subject that tends to be very reading heavy into other mediums to be better understood and comprehended by students in general.

I previously worked at The Kildonan School, and as such was given training in the Orton Gillingham Multisensory method of learning. In addition, having taught subject matter classes at a school specifically designed around dyslexia, I have a broad and comprehensive understanding of many of the issues faced by dyslexic students.

I look forward to learning together, and helping any and all students I encounter to find the world an interesting and fun place to learn.
