My Japanese learning journey:
2012: started studying with free online resources, inspired by my favorite manga and music
2015: decided I want to be a professional manga translator
2018: began pursuing a Bachelor's in Japanese Studies at SUNY Albany
2019: spent a semester of intensive Japanese study at Waseda University in Tokyo
2022: graduated in May, then passed the JLPT N1 in December, scoring higher than 94.7% of test-takers that year
