I have a high school diploma from Shenendehowa High School, and now I am a sophomore pursuing Chemical Engineering at Clarkson University. I started by tutoring my sister and some of her friends, and that got me wanting to tutor other people as well to help them with their endeavors. I have also tutored a lot of people in my high school with SAT Math and even their classes, such as Algebra, Geometry, and even Calculus. I have also been a tutor at Clarkson for multiple people struggling with their classes, so I'd say that I have taught people at the ages from 8-19.
One of my main methods to teach is repetition.
For someone to really understand a concept, they need to do similar problems multiple times with different numbers and values to show that they actually understand the general concept, not just the first problem that was shown. I am a very friendly tutor so if someone does not understand something, I will not get mad or frustrated but I will go through it again with them. I have mainly done one on one tutoring sessions, but I have also tutored in a group setting.
