Hi! My name is Alex, and I have been tutoring for the past three years. My range of subjects include most core chemical engineering classes (fluid mechanics, thermodynamics I & II, heat and mass transfer, reactor design, and some economics topics), but I've also tutored students in math classes ranging from precalculus, and calculus through multivariable calculus. In addition, I've handled general science classes (including intro chemistry and intro physics), some statistics, and even worked on helping students write for grants and worked on some special topics outside those listed as well. Years ago, I also worked as a standardized test tutor for ACT/SAT preparation.

I love tutoring and teaching because I like seeing students succeed when they are able to put in the effort and try to improve. I also love showing how some of the topics learned in some basic classes can be applied in more applicable contexts. My biggest strength is my ability to break down difficult concepts into ideas that are more tangible.

I have taken and completed the core math classes for engineering (calculus I-III, differential equations, linear algebra), graduate level engineering mathematics, engineering statistics, and all the necessary prerequisite math classes. I have also tutored in most of these subjects as well, including precalculus, and some high school level math as well. I also have significant experience in MS Excel.

I am degreed in chemical engineering, and have taken classes in physics, chemistry, biology, and many engineering classes. I have tutored in physics I and II, chemistry I and II, mass and energy balances, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, reactor design, and engineering design and economics. I have also taught some of these courses as well, including chemical engineering thermodynamics, mass and energy balances, and fluid mechanics.

I have a PhD from Cleveland State University, a Masters from The Ohio State University, and a Bioengineering degree from Cornell University.

Chemical Engineering stuuf

Man, why does trying to be a doctor have to be so hard :/ To quote a good edgelord meme. The problem of being faster than light is that you can only live in darkness. But other then that we worked on fundamentals. Everything was clean cut. A lot of homework I'm still combing through.

Great teacher

He prepares ahead of the class and patiently explains from basics and provides detailed steps to go through complex problems
