I'm Lori, a summa cum laude graduate with degrees in Biology and Journalism. With a 518 MCAT score and acceptances to five medical schools (and 12+ interview invitations), I now tutor students preparing for the MCAT and advise applicants throughout the medical school admissions process. My approach is structured, strategic, and highly personalized—focused not just on achieving strong outcomes, but on building real confidence and clarity along the way.
For the past two years, I’ve tutored students in all sections of the MCAT, helping them develop both content mastery and test-taking strategy. I tailor sessions around each student’s needs—whether that means reviewing biochem pathways, practicing CARS under timed conditions, or analyzing UWorld performance to improve retention and pacing. In addition to test prep, I’ve spent the last year advising students on their medical school applications: brainstorming personal statements, refining secondaries, preparing for interviews, and managing timelines. I draw on my background in journalism—I’ve been writing professionally for four years—to help students craft essays that are clear, compelling, and genuinely reflect who they are.
I believe in direct, supportive communication and adapting my methods to meet each student’s goals. If you’re preparing for the MCAT or navigating the medical school application process, I’d love to work with you. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session!
