ADHD

Currently I work at a charter school. We have a vast community within the school. Some of the students having ADHD. Prior to working at the charter school. I worked at a special education school. Many of the students were diagnosed with ADHD. I learned many effective ways to inhance a students learning ability and ways to maintain a child's attention. I am also currently studying in graduate school elementary Ed dual special Ed.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Currently I work at a charter school. We have a vast community within the school. Some of the students being autistic. Prior to working at the charter school. I worked at a special education school. This school I was able to worK in the TEACH program and have learned many tools when working with autistic children. I am also currently studying in graduate school elementary Ed dual special Ed.

Common Core

Currently I work at South Bronx Classical Charter School in the South Bronx. And I am an associate teacher in the school. The school strictly aligns with NYS Common Core and curriculum. I am also obtaining my masters in elementary education.

Dyslexia

Currently work in a charter school with students who have special learning needs. I work in small groups to focus on scholars who are struggling in specific areas. Prior to working at my current school I worked at a special education school. I am extremely familiar with a vast amount learning disabilities especially dyslexia and have obtained many learning tools in order to enhance the child's ability to retain and improve Reading skills which are needed for them to be successful. I am also enrolled in graduate school studying elementary Ed dual special Ed.

Elementary (K-6th)

I currently work in a Charter School in the south Bronx. The grade ranges from K-8. I am also studying to get my masters in elementary education.

Handwriting

I currently work in a Charter School. I am currently teaching an intervention group with five scholars to focus on their handwriting skills. This intervention is to strengthen their skills to make them become stronger writers. Also in the process of obtaining my masters in elementary Ed.

Phonics

I currently work at South Bronx Classical Charter School. Work with the reading A-Z program during guided reading groups. Strong focus on phonics and teaching phonics rules. I also currently enrolled in a masters program towards childhood education.

Special Needs

Study Skills

I currently work in a charter school that is data driven. Scholars are tested weekly and teachers prepare scholars for upcoming test. School is successful at preparing scholars for NYS tests and teachers give scholars the study skills they need to pass these exams.
