My academic background gave me a solid foundation in research, analysis, and writing, and I especially enjoy finding ways to make historical events feel relevant and engaging. I believe history should be more than memorizing names and dates—it’s a collection of stories that reveal how people and societies change over time. Once students realize that history is essentially storytelling, the subject becomes far less intimidating. My goal is to help students discover those stories, even the less exciting ones, and make sense of them.
I work well with kids who struggle and need extra patience, as well as with those who want to push themselves toward peak academic performance. I focus on explaining ideas clearly, breaking down difficult concepts into simple steps, and encouraging students to ask questions and make connections. I can also support students who are preparing for college-level history classes or AP exams, helping them strengthen both content knowledge and academic skills.
My approach is to meet each student where they are and adapt to their individual needs. For some, that means building confidence and filling in gaps of understanding, while for others it involves deeper analysis and advanced writing practice. In every case, I bring enthusiasm for history and a commitment to helping students feel prepared, capable, and motivated to succeed.
