Most recently, I work as Linux Systems Engineer, where my responsibilities included Installation of Linux software and handling of hardware and software related issues and installation of Windows based tools such as Net support DNA and Barracuda Backup.
Previously, I worked with NYSE Euronext, my responsibilities included monitoring Trading Floor Servers with OpenView monitoring tools, wrote Unix shell scripts to automate system checkouts. Spearheaded projects to deploy updated versions of trading floor system software, ensuring compliance with NYSE requests and standards. In these positions, I demonstrated the ability to resolve a variety of issues and complaints (such as hardware failure, service interruptions or cutoffs, repair technician delays/no-shows and equipment malfunctions). Our jobs were to assist the NYSE Trading floor to resolve their system problems by all means.
I also bring to the table strong computer proficiencies in MS Word 7, MS SQL, CentOS, Fedora and Red Hat Linux operating systems.
