Elise is a very helpful tutor who directly helped me raise my grade a ton in organic chemistry 2. She is very knowledgable and has an ability to solve and break down organic chemistry problems in a way that helps you understand the concepts better. Understood more in a few sessions with her than a semester of class and office hours.

Smart and helpful tutor

Elise helped me with Analytical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. She helped me with homework in both classes, lab questions, lab calculations, and preparing for exams. I had sessions with her at least once a week because of my heavy course load and even if I asked last minute she was always very flexible with me and would always try to find a time that worked well for both of us even though we are in different time zones. She worked through homework problems with me slowly so that I could grasp each concept and always made sure to ask me if I had any questions after each problem. She also sent me resources or study tools when needed if she thought they would help me! She uses a drawing board so that I could see exactly how she worked out the problems and every once in a while she would have me work out the problem myself to make sure I understood it, and then I could ask questions if I got confused through the process myself. These classes were very hard for me and I always got confused but when she would explain them it made so much more sense. I would not have made it through either of these classes without her tutoring me because I was extremely overwhelmed at the beginning of the semester before I reached out to her for lessons. She helped me truly understand what kind of processes I had to put my mind through to understand each class (because each are very different approaches to chemistry). I appreciate her so much and will be continuing to use her for help!!

It was difficult for me to understand the material in class, but after a few sessions with Elise, I felt much more confident. She is very patient and kind; even if you don't understand something right away, she will go over it again until you understand. Great Organic Chem Tutor

Elise is a great tutor for Orgo I. She helped clear up the basic concepts, like reaction types and their respective reagents or common patterns in reaction mechanisms, so that I could build a strong foundation for chemistry going forward. She would ask me to work out homework problems I was confused about so she could pinpoint where I may need adjustment, and then give me examples problems to apply what we just went over. I would highly recommend requesting Elise as a tutor!
