About Zachary

Bio

I have been an educator since I was first able to get my hands on the career. I have grown up in the western NY region for my entire life, and have attended all levels of education here. I hold a BA in Chemistry with a minor in Spanish from SUNY Geneseo. I also earned a NYS teaching certification in Chemistry grades 7-12 and general science 7-12. I have been an educator since I was first able to get my hands on the career. I have grown up in the western NY region for my entire life, and have attended all levels of education here. I hold a BA in Chemistry with a minor in Spanish from SUNY Geneseo. I also earned a NYS teaching certification in Chemistry grades 7-12 and general science 7-12. I am currently attending SUNY Buffalo State to pursue an MS in Science Education and Earth Sciences, and will complete the degree in May 2020. From there, I will be attending SUNY UB to obtain a PhD in Science Education, Curriculum, and Instruction in the distant future.

I am currently a high school Chemistry and Physics teacher in Chautauqua County, and am also a part time instructor at SUNY Buffalo State in the Chemistry Department, keeping all of my knowledge on education current and in practice! In the past, I have also been a high school biology and chemistry teacher, an adjunct professor in Biotechnology, a tutor who was on a 9 member committee that trained the tutors that participated in SUNY Geneseo's TOP and EOP tutoring program, and a laboratory instructor. I am always doing my best staying on the cutting edge of these topics!
