Hello! My name is Brian. I grew up in California where I did my undergraduate studies  at UC Riverside, where I majored in biological sciences with an emphasis in medical biology. I did my post-baccalaureate at Touro University California, before going to A.T. Still University, Arizona for medical school. I spent my first year on campus at Mesa before spending my second to fourth year in Beaufort, South Carolina. After graduating with my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, I did my family medicine residency training back home in Los Angeles. Afterwards, I worked as a family medicine attending for 2 years as a clinician and as an assistant professor at my alma mater A.T. Still University, before going back for anesthesiology residency training. I have more than 10 years of tutoring and academic advising experience including: substitute teaching, working as a lower division chemistry teaching assistant, working as an educational fellow and undergraduate mentor with Osmosis.org, and being an assistant professor for medical students. I have experience tutoring and advising students from elementary school to medical school, and I have advised multiple students to get into their top choice for professional school. As a board certified Family Medicine physician, I am very comfortable with tutoring all levels of science and am well versed in Chemistry, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, and Pharmacology. As a non-traditional medical school applicant, I am very familiar with the process of navigating the medical school and residency application process. I have also taken and passed USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2, COMLEX Level 1, COMLEX Level 2, COMLEX Level 3.

Approved Subjects

Pharmacology

Pharmacology

As a board-certified family medicine physician, prior assistant professor, and current anesthesiology resident, I have extensive training in clinical pharmacology and the practical application of medications across multiple medical specialties. My current training in anesthesiology allows me to delve deeper into understanding and clinical application of pharmacology. This allows me to help students move beyond memorization to true understanding.
USMLE

USMLE

As a board-certified family medicine physician, prior assistant professor, and current anesthesiology resident, I understand the dedication and strategy required to succeed on the USMLE examinations. I passed both USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK on my first attempt and now help medical students master challenging concepts by integrating physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and clinical reasoning. Additionally, I have taken COMLEX Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. As an assistant professor and physician educator, I have extensive experience teaching medical students through case-based learning and helping them develop the critical thinking skills needed to excel on board exams and in clinical practice. During my time in family medicine and as an assistant professor, I treated patients and taught medical students on Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.
