I have always believed that every child learns differently, and my goal is to make sure your student feels confident and supported every step of the way! I am a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan University, where I earned a degree in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) and Special Education (Grades K-12). I am currently preparing to start my new role as a 2nd grade teacher this coming school year! Here is some of my prior experience: 3+ years as a TA in a self-contained special education 2nd/3rd grade classroom, 2+ years as a 1:1 behavior therapist working with students with Autism/ADHD, and work as a respite care provider to clients with Autism. I have tutored students in after school programs aging 1st-6th grade, and have plenty of experience editing college application and high school essays for older grades.

When I work with students, I like to keep things interactive and encouraging. I don't just want to help your child get through their homework; I want to help them build the toolbox of skills they need to succeed on their own. Whether we are practicing sight words or tackling multi-step math problems, I aim to create a space where it is safe to ask questions, take risks, grow from mistakes, and build confidence as a learner! I am so excited to help your child reach their next big milestone.

ADHD

ADHD

As a graduate with a degree in K-12 Special Education from Roberts Wesleyan University, I specialize in developing tailored learning strategies for students with ADHD and executive functioning challenges. My three years of experience in self-contained classrooms and one-on-one behavioral settings have allowed me to master techniques such as task-analysis, visual scheduling, and the chunking of complex assignments to reduce cognitive overload. I focus on helping students build self-regulation skills and organizational habits that empower them to stay engaged and manage their time effectively. By combining my background in behavior intervention with evidence-based instructional methods, I provide a structured and supportive environment where students with ADHD can thrive academically.
Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

I hold a degree in Childhood (1-6) and Special Education (K-12) from Roberts Wesleyan University, which has provided me with a deep understanding of developmental milestones and inclusive teaching strategies. My professional background includes three years of intensive experience as a Special Education Teaching Assistant and Behavioral Therapist, where I specialized in creating modified curricula for students with Autism and diverse learning needs. This fall, I will be serving as a Lead 2nd Grade Teacher, further honing my ability to deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in literacy and mathematics. Whether working in a classroom or a tutoring center environment, I focus on patience and individualized support to help elementary students build confidence and master core foundational skills.
