Hi, I’m Sam Z., and I’d love the opportunity to help you reach your academic goals. I’m currently a student at the University at Buffalo studying mechanical and aerospace engineering, where I’ve developed a strong foundation in problem-solving, critical thinking, and advanced mathematics. I’m highly proficient in math through Calculus III, and I’m comfortable helping students across a wide range of subjects from elementary school through high school. My academic background has taught me not just how to solve problems, but how to break them down in a way that actually makes sense—something I focus on bringing into every tutoring session.
Beyond academics, I’ve spent multiple summers working as a camp counselor for students ages 5–14, which has helped me develop a patient, supportive, and adaptable teaching style. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to fit each individual—whether that means slowing things down, finding new ways to explain concepts, or building better study habits and organization skills. My goal isn’t just to help students get the right answer, but to help them truly understand the material and gain confidence in their abilities. I especially enjoy working with students who may be struggling or feeling stuck, and helping them turn that frustration into progress.
