My name is Urim and I'm a freshmen in SUNY Buffalo majoring in Pharmacy looking to help students in math and various other subjects. As a student who recently was still apart of the school system, I have a high understanding issues and problems which students face. This fact along with my 50+ tutoring hours on Schoolhouse (a volunteer tutoring program) demonstrate my abillity to show compassion to my students.
In terms of expertise in the topics which I hope to tutor in, the majority of my tutoring hours on Schoolhouse was SAT as my recent SAT superscore was 1490 (Math: 790, English:700). I was also graduated with a International Baccalaureate Diploma which is a 2 year program where a student must be enrolled in 8 college level courses. Some of the courses I took were Math AA SL, Chemistry HL and Biology HL.
I'm eager to tutor students on Wyzant as I have a passion and skill for helping others achieve their diverse academic goals. From the moment I remember being in school, whenever I found a classmate struggling with a question I understood I would carefully carry them through the steps and guide them to figuring out the answer. Although I was not smarter or more expierienced than the teachers, my compassion guided me, allowing me to connect and form an understanding with other students much easier. This is the approach I hope to take on Wyzant.
