Hi, my name is Vusumuzi H. (Vusa), and I am a medicinal chemist and pharmaceutical scientist. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University at Buffalo, as well as Master’s degrees in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the same institution. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

During my graduate studies at the University at Buffalo, I served as a Teaching Assistant in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Vusumuzi H. is the best tutor I have had on online platforms. He is highly responsive, even at night (which is super helpful when you want to review homework before it is due). He is very knowledgeable on Organic Chemistry topics, and allows students to talk through their thought process and think critically about problems. The discussions we have about the topics help me learn a lot. He is also very resourceful and pulls up examples through out the session. He is also very kind and personable. 100% recommend!

Great at Organic Chemistry and Mass Spec

Vusumuzi is a great organic chemistry tutor. He is very knowledgeable and especially helpful when it came to understanding mass spectrometry. Vusumuzi is an excellent tutor and helped me find exactly where I was struggling in Chemistry and helping me from there. I had a really great experience with Vusumuzi learning Organic Chemistry! He’s super approachable and easy to talk to, which made it a lot less stressful to ask questions or admit when I was confused.
