Hi, my name is Vusumuzi H. (Vusa), and I am a medicinal chemist and pharmaceutical scientist. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University at Buffalo, as well as Master’s degrees in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the same institution. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Such a wonderful tutor!

Vusumuzi H. is the best tutor I have had on online platforms. He is highly responsive, even at night (which is super helpful when you want to review homework before it is due). He is very knowledgeable on Organic Chemistry topics, and allows students to talk through their thought process and think critically about problems. The discussions we have about the topics help me learn a lot. He is also very resourceful and pulls up examples through out the session. He is also very kind and personable. 100% recommend!

I had a really great experience with Vusumuzi learning Organic Chemistry! Vusumuzi was very patient and helped pinpoint the main areas of confusion for me. He helped me relearn the basics and we went over different problems. Vusumuzi H. is a fantastic biochemistry tutor. I am almost hesitant to leave this review because I fear the moment people find out how great he is at tutoring he will be fully booked lol. I had my first session with Vusumuzi H. today for my advanced biochemistry class and he clearly articulated the concepts in my biochemistry paper that I have been assigned to read for the purposes of oral examination. Vusumuzi H. is an incredibly patient tutor and and adjusted quickly when he realized that I really needed to go back to the basics for a moment before I could understand the complexities of the paper. I feel like he not only got me to the answers, but he helped me actually understand the steps and reasoning behind getting to the answer which will be very important not only for my oral exam but for my future classes. In my opinion he is a highly effective tutor for biochemistry classes/research and I will definitely be scheduling another session.
